BIO

Joel Arantes Correia (1978, Paris, France, with Portuguese Nationality) Has a Master’s in Material-based Art from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (2022).
In Portugal, He studied traditional stone carving from 2000 to 2003 and worked with stone sculpture until he moved to Norway in 2013, where he continued studying art until 2022. 
He has participated in significant exhibitions like a Solo Exhibition at Prosjektrom Carl Berner (Billedhoggerforening), Olso. -Group Exhibition “Uma Mainfesta Accão” at Centro Cultural de Lagos, Portugal. -The Jubileumsutstilling, “Skulpturtriennale” (Billedhoggerforening), Oslo. -“New Horizons, Ephemeral Style”, at Nitja Senter for Samtids Kunst, Lillestrøm, Norway.-” If we build it, they will come”, Trafo Kunstall, Asker, Norway.
